My husband has familial combined hyperlipidemia and is taking simvostatin. He also has high blood pressure for which he takes medication. He hates being on both because of the nasty side effects. His levels have all come down to normal now. Should he keep taking the statins if he sticks to a really healthy diet please and takes all the right supplements?
